3 Tips For Getting Your Child Off To Preschool In The Morning
Posted on: 25 January 2018
As a parent who may have to rush your child off to preschool each morning, you might find that your morning routine is more than a little bit hectic. Fortunately, if you follow these tips, you can help make things easier for yourself and your preschool-aged child.
1. Ensure Your Child Goes to Bed at the Same Time Every Night
For one thing, it is important to make sure that your preschooler is getting plenty of sleep every night. It can be a lot harder to get a grumpy and sleepy preschooler ready for the day, and your child might not do his or her best in preschool without enough sleep. It can be difficult to be consistent with a nightly routine, but encouraging your child to go to bed at the same time every night and to get enough sleep every evening is very helpful.
2. Create a "Good Morning" Chart
If you do not have one already, you may want to consider making a "good morning" chart for your preschooler to follow each morning when he or she wakes up. You can list each task that your child needs to do to get ready in the morning on the chart, such as brushing his or her teeth and getting dressed. If your child can check off each thing on the list with a sticker or a marker, this can make things that much more exciting. In time, your child will learn exactly what he or she is supposed to do to get prepared for the day.
3. Lay Everything Out the Night Before
Choosing the perfect outfit for your child to wear to preschool can take time out of your busy morning and can cause you to be in a rush. Taking the time to set aside your child's clothes the night before, to make sure that his or her backpack is located near the door and to pack his or her lunch or snack can help make things much easier in the morning. You can even try making pre-made breakfasts and stashing them in the refrigerator to help you and your preschooler get out the door more quickly and easily in the mornings.
As you can see, there are a few things that you can do if you would like to make the morning routine easier when you have kids who attend preschools. If you follow these tips, then you might find that mornings are a whole lot easier and a whole lot less hectic.
